THE A92 between Freuchie and Ladybank has re-opened to traffic, with work to strengthen and refurbish the 200-year-old Edenbank Bridge ahead of schedule.

Despite a delayed start date due to extreme weather conditions the road closure was lifted at midnight on Wednesday – 11 days early.

The remainder of the work is expected to be completed this weekend, some five weeks ahead of schedule.
