A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BEAR Scotland’s Maintenance team, looking after some of Scotland’s most iconic structures including the Queensferry Crossing.

Based in our Queensferry depot and reporting into the Maintenance Manager, the Bridge Maintenance Operative will assist trade teams with daily tasks such as access installation, bridge repair and maintenance tasks. Driving duties will include drop off and collection of materials to suppliers as required.

 

Role includes:

  • Carrying out bridge cyclic routines
  • Assisting trades as required
  • Driving duties

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Current experience/qualification in a relevant discipline, typically SVQ 3 as a minimum
  • Must be able to work to strict deadlines
  • Must be able to work as part of composite team as required
  • Ability to work at height
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • A full approved UK driving licence

 

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of power tools – grinders, drills etc.
  • Telehandler
  • HIAB
  • Abrasive Wheels
