Update: Drainage improvements on the A9 South of Ballinluig will now start on Wednesday 7 August. The end date is unaffected. See updated details below in red.
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be carrying out essential drainage improvement works on the A9 south of the Ballinluig dual carriageway from Wednesday 7 August.
These drainage improvements works will continue for 13 nights between 8pm and 6am, and will be completed by Friday 23 August.
Due to the nature of the works, and to protect both worker and road users, temporary two-way traffic lights will be in place on the approach to the works. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s Northwest Unit Representative said; “These essential drainage works on the A9 south of the Ballinluig dual carriageway will improve the drainage system and reduce the risk of flooding on the trunk road and pedestrian cycletrack.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.
“We encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
