£50,000 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ON A85 AT BRIDGE OF AWE

UPDATE: Drainage improvements on the A85 at Bridge of Awe will now begin on Monday 19 August.

  • Drainage improvement works planned for 10 days starting from Monday 19 August

  • Two-way temporary traffic lights in place during working hours

 

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage improvement works on the A85 at Bridge of Awe in Taynuilt.

 

These drainage improvement works will continue for 10 days between the hours of 8am and 7pm and will be completed on Friday 23 August, with no works being carried out during the weekends.

 

Temporary two-way traffic lights will be in place during working hours to protect workers, pedestrians and roadusers. The footway will also be closed therefore diversions will be used to help keep pedestrians safe.

 

Access through the worksite for emergency services will be maintaind at all times.

 

Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s Northwest Unit Representative said, “These essential drainage works on the A85 will improve the drainage system and reduce the risk of flooding on the trunk road and footway.”

 

“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
