Essential works to upgrade some of the lighting columns on Kessock Bridge are due to get underway on Monday 27 March. Maintenance of the vehicle restraint system and bridge cleaning will be carried out at the same time.
The works will take place over five nights between 7pm and 6am and will be completed by the morning of Saturday 1 April, weather dependent. There will be single lane closures in both directions, from Longman Roundabout to the junction for North Kessock village. Footpaths and cycleways will remain open at all times.
BEAR Scotland’s Representative for the North West Eddie Ross said:
“The lighting column works are necessary to ensure the safety of motorists when driving on the Kessock Bridge.
“It is essential for safety that we put single lane closures in place during these works, however we have scheduled them to be carried out during overnight hours to minimise any disruption.
“We thank motorists in advance for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.”
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website www.traffic.gov.scot for up-to-date travel information and allowing extra time for their journey.
