The current weather forecast for Sunday and Monday indicates 90mm of rainfall in 48 hours which will result in a significant increase in hillside saturation levels. In line with the Rest and be Thankful Management Plan, and as a precaution, the Old Military Road Local Diversion Route will be in use from 12:00 Mid-day on Sunday 4 February. This will be subject to further review of forecast and conditions on Monday morning although is likely to continue through to Tuesday morning and will be reviewed thereafter.
Our team will be closely monitoring conditions throughout this period of high alert.
