• The A83 at the Rest and be Thankful will be open under convoy from 11am Friday morning, for the rest of the weekend

Further to BEAR Scotland’s inspection of hillside conditions at the Rest and Be Thankful, and an updated and improving forecast, traffic will move from the Old Military Road diversion to the A83 under convoy control from 11am today.

Given the subsequent forecast for unsettled weather and further rain, the A83 will continue to operate under convoy control over the weekend.

Our team continues to have a presence on site and are monitoring conditions closely.  A further update will be issued if forecast or hillside conditions require a change to the above traffic management arrangement.
