A83 AT REST AND BE THANKFUL RE-OPENS UNDER CONVOY CONTROL

• The A83 at the Rest and Be Thankful will operate under convoy control throughout the day and overnight into Saturday.
• Snow is forecast this morning but weather conditions are expected to improve as day progresses.
• Site team are monitoring hillside conditions.

Please be advised that the A83 at the Rest and Be Thankful is now open to traffic under convoy control.

The re-opening of the trunk road follows the use of the Old Military Road local diversion route on Thursday night, in response to the continued wet weather and high levels of saturation being experienced by the hillside.

It is anticipated that the A83 will remain open throughout Friday and overnight into Saturday, with weather conditions forecast to improve as the day progresses.

Our team continues to have a presence on site and are monitoring conditions closely, and a further update will be issued if there is any change to the above traffic management arrangement.
