A83 AT REST AND BE THANKFUL: TRAFFIC CONTINUES TO BE DIVERTED ONTO OLD MILITARY ROAD

Diversion onto the Old Military Road continues this morning

Conditions to be assessed throughout the day and a further update given this afternoon

Drivers are advised that all traffic on the A83 at the Rest and Be Thankful will continue to be diverted onto the Old Military Road local diversion route today, due to the continuing high levels of rainfall, increased hillside saturation conditions and brown water observed by the BEAR team in a channel to the south end of the site.

The BEAR Scotland team continues to have a presence on site and will be carrying out a detailed inspection of hillside conditions throughout the day.  An update will be issued later today to provide details of further traffic management arrangements.
