• Weather permitting, a convoy system will then be introduced
• Diversion back onto the Old Military Road in the early hours of Sunday morning anticipated

Please be advised that traffic will continue to be diverted onto the Old Military Road local diversion route today and overnight until Saturday morning, due to the heavy persistent rain forecast and high hillside saturation levels.

Given the current forecast for reduced rainfall on Saturday, it is anticipated that the A83 will then operate under convoy control throughout Saturday until Sunday morning.

Further heavy rain is however forecast for Sunday, and it is currently envisaged that traffic will be diverted onto the Old Military Road Local Diversion Route in the early hours of Sunday morning.
