Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A876 north of Kincardine from Friday 10 March to Monday 13 March and Friday 17 March until Monday 20 March 2023. This is to allow for road drainage improvement works following the recent widening of the northbound side of the road on the approach to Gartarry Roundabout.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Kilbagie Roundabout and on the approach from the A876 continuously from 19:30 on Friday 10 March until 06:30 on Monday 13 March and from 19:30 on Friday 17 March until 06:30 on Monday 20 March.
Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland began the nearby A977 road widening project on 17 October, with lane closures and temporary traffic lights in place between 19:30 and 06:30 each weekday night since then. The works are programmed to conclude before the end of March.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “For the safety of the workforce and the travelling public, it will be necessary to close one lane of the A876 while we carry out drainage enhancements. Temporary traffic lights will be in place continuously during the works.
“We’re grateful to road users and local communities for their patience and understanding.”
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information and allowing extra time for their journey.
All work is weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
