Two- way traffic lights with convoy
On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential road improvement works on the A9 just north of the Drumochter Duals beginning Sunday 16 June 2024.
Due to the nature of the works, traffic on the A9 single carriageway just north of the Drumochter Duals will be controlled by temporary traffic management for a total of nine nights from Sunday 16 June until Saturday 6 July between 7pm and 6am. No works will take place on Saturday or Sunday nights, with the exception of Sunday 30 June.
During the works, the A9 single carriageway north of the Drumochter Duals will be subject to a traffic management system of temporary two-way traffic lights with convoy. A reduced speed limit of 10mph will also be set-up on the approach to the site and traffic will be guided through the works by the convoy vehicle.
During non-working hours, the temporary traffic management measures will be lifted. Throughout the day, a 30mph speed limit will be in effect as a temporary surface and ramps will be in use.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
