A9 NORTHBOUND OFF-SLIP CLOSURE AT PITLOCHRY

April 25, 2025

  • Works start Monday 28 April

  • 24 hour closure in place between until Sunday 4 May excluding Thursday 1 May

On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will carry out essential repair works on the A9 Northbound off-slip at Pitlochry between Monday 28 April and Sunday 4 May.

The works involve the installation of rock bags, armour and associated earthworks to a section of the riverbank to protect nearby areas and are scheduled to take place between 7am and 6pm each working day.

For the duration of the works, the A9 northbound off-slip at Pitlochry will be closed 24 hours a day with the exception of Thursday 1 May, when the slip road will be open between 6am and 7pm. During the road closure, traffic will be redirected to the A924 junction north of Pitlochry. Southbound access from the A924 onto the A9 will not be affected by the works.

Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said, “It is essential to undertake these interim repairs at this time, in order to avoid further damages and disruption from any future inclement weather.

“We thank local residents and drivers for their patience. Our priority is to get the road open again as soon as possible, while ensuring the safety of those on site.”
