Please be advised that overnight surfacing improvements planned for a section of the A90 Kingsway in Dundee, outlined in the release below, have been postponed.
The project had been programmed to get underway from Wednesday 24 February over two nights, however due to the impact of weather delays on other works, this project has been postponed and will take place at a later date.
The A90 at Old Glamis Roundabout will remain fully open over the two nights the project was planned to take place.
All relevant stakeholders have been informed of the changes and will be updated once new dates for the project are confirmed.

A section of the A90 Kingsway in Dundee is set to benefit from resurfacing improvements with work set to take place next week.
The £40,000 improvements will address defects in the road surface on the A90 at Old Glamis Roundabout, creating a safer and smoother road surface for motorists.
The overnight project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday 24 February and will take place over two nights between 7.30pm and 6.30am, with all works expected to be completed by 6.30am on Friday 26 February, subject to weather conditions.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the A90 Kingsway westbound will be closed at Forfar Road Junction with traffic being diverted along Clepington Road via Pitkerro Roundabout. The eastbound carriageway will also be closed at Strathmartine Roundabout with a signed diversion in place via Balgowan Avenue and Claverhouse Road. Local access will be maintained at all times. All traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Strict physical distancing protocols, in accordance with Scottish Government COVID-19 guidance, will be implemented to protect the operatives that are undertaking the works.
Commenting on the improvements, Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit Representative, said: “This £40,000 investment from Transport Scotland will greatly improve and strengthen this section of the A90, as well as create a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
“For safety, the road has to be closed while we complete the work at Old Glamis Roundabout, however we’ve arranged the work to take place overnight to help minimise disruption. We’ll also ensure any noise is kept to a minimum where possible.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance while our teams carry out these essential improvements on the A90. We encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date traffic information and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”

Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using SEPA approved methods.
