BEAR Scotland has been commissioned by Transport Scotland to progress the A95 Lackghie carriageway realignment. The project consists of the widening and the horizontal and vertical realignment of 2km of single carriageway on the A95, from Drumuillie towards Gaich. The scheme will improve forward visibility, ride quality and surface drainage thereby increasing overall road user safety.
The proposals also include improvements to provide an active travel route. This is to be constructed in the verge as part of the A95 works. A walking, cycling and horse riding assessment is underway as part of the design process.
