The B9080 west of Kirkliston will be closed between 21:00 and 01:00 on the night of Monday 4 November, to allow Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland to carry out an essential lifting operation as part of the ongoing works to refurbish the bridge carrying the M90 motorway over the local road.
Special arrangements will be in place to allow buses to pass through the works.
Local access for all other vehicles will be maintained up to but not beyond the bridge.
A diversion route will be signposted between Winchburgh and Kirkliston via the B8020, A904 and B800.
Due to a low bridge on the B800, a separate diversion for high sided vehicles will be signposted from the A904 onto the A90 at Queensferry Junction, the A902 Maybury Road, the A8 Glasgow Road, the A89 from Newbridge Roundabout and the B800 northbound to Kirkliston.
David Bishop, BEAR Scotland’s South East Unit Bridges Manager, said: “It is essential for the safety of road users and our workforce that we fully close this part of the B9080 while the lifting operation is ongoing. To minimise disruption, we have planned these works to be undertaken overnight.
“We’re grateful to road users and the local community for their patience and understanding.”
