BEAR Scotland operating on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential road improvement works on the A889 just north of Dalwhinnie, from 7pm on Sunday 29 September for one night.
The works will see 170 meters of road resurfaced, enhancing road safety and conditions for road users. Works will be completed by 6am on Monday 30 September.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and the public, two-way traffic lights with a convoy system will be in place to escort traffic safely around the work site.
A reduced speed limit along with the temporary traffic lights will be setup on the approach to the site and traffic will be guided through the works, at 10mph, by the convoy vehicle.
Access through the works sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This crucial surfacing project along the A889 will fix existing defects and significantly enhance the driving experience for road users. Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly with safety as our top priority.
“We’re grateful to the local community and road users for their patience while we complete these improvements.”
