BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s road operating company, is set to start essential resurfacing and road markings improvements on the A9 south of Slochd.
Overnight works are programmed to start on the A9, north of the A938 Carrbridge Junction, beginning Wednesday 8 May 2024.
The project will take place over three nights, from Wednesday 8 May to Monday 13 May between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00. No works will be undertaken on Friday or Saturday nights.
To ensure the safety of both workers and road users, night-time two-way traffic lights with a convoy system will be installed.
During non-working hours, the temporary traffic management measures will be lifted. Throughout the day, for the carriageway surfacing only, a 30mph speed limit will be in effect as a temporary surface and ramps will be used.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website www.traffic.gov.scot for up-to-date travel information and allowing extra time for their journey.
