The M876 Junction 1 northbound off-slip will be closed for carriageway repairs between 19:30 and 06:00 on the night of Friday 6 September.
Traffic wishing to exit at Junction 1 will be directed to continue onwards to turn at Junction 2 then return to exit via the Junction 1 southbound off-slip. This will add approximately 4 miles and 5 minutes to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland will carry out the works. Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “We thank motorists and the local community in advance for their patience while we carry out these essential repairs. We’ll do all we can to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.”
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website www.traffic.gov.scot for up-to-date travel information and allowing extra time for their journey.
All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
