September 10, 2024

  • Works begin on Monday 16 September for four days

  • Temporary traffic lights and convoy in place

Motorist using the A82 will benefit from an improved road surface as resurfacing works set to be carried out later this month south of Glencoe Village.
The resurfacing improvements will involve resurfacing 200m of road to make it more durable and resilient against inclement weather, as well as providing a safer road for road users.
The works are set to begin on Monday 16 to Thursday 19 September. Works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm each day under a 10mph convoy with two-way temporary traffic lights. Out with these hours traffic management will be removed however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place, as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
