BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage works on the A83, at Auchindrain, north of Furnace following a landslip event.
The works will take place over three weeks beginning Monday 10 to Friday 28 February between 7am and 7pm. No works will take place over the weekends and are weather dependant.
Temporary traffic signals and a 30mph speed limit will be in place to ensure the safety of the workforce, pedestrians, and motorists for the duration of the project. Therefore, no diversion route is required.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and other relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the plans in advance.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These drainage improvement works on the A83 at Auchindrain north of Furnace will increase both quality and safety for road users.
Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
