Four-way temporary traffic lights
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage investigation works on the A82 south of Drumnadrochit at the junction with East and West Lewiston.
These investigation works will take place for one day on Monday 11 November between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
Due to the nature of the works, and to protect both motorists, pedestrians, and roadworkers, it will be necessary to control traffic by using temporary four-way traffic lights.
Access through the worksite for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s Northwest Unit Representative said; “These drainage investigation works will provide valuable information regarding the drainage system and reduce the risk of flooding on the trunk road and adjacent local authority roads.”
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
“We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
