BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage investigation works on the A84 between the villages of Callander and Doune on Tuesday 20 August.
These drainage investigation works will last for one night between the hours of 7:30pm and 6am.
Due to the nature of the works, two-way traffic lights will be in place to protect the workforce and road users.
Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s Northwest Unit Representative said; “These drainage investigation works will provide valuable information regarding the condition of the current drainage assets as well as clearing any blockages found within the drainage system. This will hopefully alleviate current levels of flooding on the carriageway, providing a safer journey when travelling on this section of the A84.”
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
“We encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
