BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, is set to undertake essential road surfacing works on a section of the A9 single carriageway at the Guay/Tulliemet junction, south of Ballinluig.
The works will take place overnight from 7pm to 6am from Sunday 18 February and will be completed by Wednesday 21 February at 6am, depending on weather.
Temporary traffic lights with a 10mph convoy system will be in place to ensure roadworkers’ and road users’ safety. Outside working hours a 30mph speed limit will be in place as vehicles will be travelling over a temporary surface with ramps. Local access to Guay and Tulliemet, and access for emergency services, will be maintained at all times.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This surfacing project on the A9 south of Ballinluig will fix existing defects and enhance the road surface. We extend our gratitude to the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
