Please be advised that due to inclement weather forecast, the surfacing improvements planned for the A835 Gorstan have been rescheduled.
The improvements were scheduled to begin on Wednesday 5 October and were expected to take six nights to complete; however, works will now begin on Sunday 9 October for five nights, 7pm – 7am. Works are now expected to be complete by 7am Friday 14 October, subject to weather conditions.
Traffic management will remain as originally programmed; a 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours. The convoy system will be removed outwith working hours; however, temporary traffic lights and a 30mph speed limit will be in place during the day as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
