BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, is set to carry out coring investigation works to assess the condition of various A720 slip roads, commencing on the night of Wednesday 4 October.
To allow these works to be carried out safely, it is necessary to close the slip roads overnight as shown in the table below. Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place as detailed.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These coring investigation works will allow us to assess the condition of these slip roads on the A720 in advance of future resurfacing.
“If you need to use these routes at night over the next few weeks, our advice is to plan ahead and allow a few extra minutes for your journey if necessary.
“We’re grateful to road users and the local community for their understanding.”
