The slip road exiting the westbound M8 at Junction 3A Starlaw will be closed for investigation works between 20:30 and 06:00 on the night of Monday 26 February.
A signed diversion route suitable for trunk road traffic will be in place, directing traffic to continue to M8 Junction 4, before turning back onto the M8 eastbound, exiting at the Junction 3A eastbound off-slip and continuing via the A779 to Starlaw West Roundabout. This diversion is expected to add approximately 6.4 miles and 8 minutes to affected journeys.
All traffic management will be removed outwith working hours and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and other relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the plans in advance.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “We thank motorists and the local community for their patience while we carry out these essential pavement investigations in advance of future resurfacing.
“We’ll do all we can to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.”
