Overnight investigation works on the slip road leaving the northbound A1 at Bankton Junction are planned to take place on Tuesday 8 February.
The work will take place between 19:30 and 06:00. During these hours, northbound traffic wishing to exit the A1 at Bankton Junction will be diverted onwards to turn at Dolphingstone Junction, returning via the A1 southbound to exit via the Bankton Junction southbound off-slip.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s Network Manager for the South East, said: “A carriageway closure is necessary to allow us to investigate this section of the A1 safely, however we’ve scheduled the works at night to minimise disruption and we’ll aim to get the job completed as quickly as possible.”
The work is weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
