  • 14 weeks of overnight roadworks begins 9 June 2023

A 14-week programme of overnight maintenance works is set to get underway on the M80 and M73 motorways.

The works consist of various maintenance activities, including installation of new safety barriers, replacement of bridge joints, surfacing repairs, various cyclic maintenance activities and structural concrete repairs at a number of different locations on the M80 between Junctions 2 and 7 and the M73 between Junction 3 and the M80.

“The works will be carried out overnight when traffic flows are reduced, to minimise delays as much as possible.

“Road closures are vital to ensure the safety of the workforce and motorists, however we will look to complete these works as quickly and safely as possible.

“We thank road users for their patience and encourage them to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date journey information”.
