BEAR Scotland will be resurfacing 1000m of the A828 south of Appin, near Creagan, on behalf of Transport Scotland, with four days of work scheduled to begin on Tuesday 13 June.
The works will take place from Tuesday 13 to Friday 16 June between 7am and 7pm each day. For the safety of the workforce and drivers, there will be single lane closures with two-way temporary traffic lights, and traffic will be safely escorted through the site by a convoy vehicle at 10mph. Outside these hours traffic management will be removed, with a 30mph speed limit in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said “This £180,000 project to replace a worn-out section of carriageway will make the road surface more durable and resilient against poor weather, as well as safer and smoother to drive on. We thank motorists for their patience ahead of these road improvements.”
