Works begin on Thursday 5 September for one night only

Overnight road closure required
Road users travelling on the A85 at the west end of Taynuilt will benefit from an improved road surface as resurfacing works set to be carried out next month by BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The works will address deteriorating road surface conditions as well as improve road markings, making the road more durable and resilient against inclement weather, as well as providing a safer driving experience for road users.
Construction will commence on Thursday 5 September for one night only and will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 5am.
Due to restricted road widths, this section of the A85 will be closed in both directions to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public. Amnesties at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12pm, 2am and 4am will allow waiting vehicles to be escorted through the site safely.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works. A diversion is also available via the A82 and A828 for those who do not wish to wait.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface and markings, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users. We thank the public for their patience ahead of these road improvements.”
