The southbound off-slip at M90 Junction 2 will be closed from 20:00 until 06:00 on the night of Thursday 11 February 2021 to allow Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland to carry out repairs to damaged roadside barriers.
A diversion will be signposted via the M90 southbound to Junction 1B Ferrytoll, returning to exit at the Junction 2 northbound off-slip.
Strict physical distancing protocols, in line with Scottish Government guidance, are in place to protect teams and ensure they remain safe on site.
Stakeholders including local authorities and the emergency services have been consulted to make them aware of these works in advance.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: ““We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this overnight closure. These repairs are however necessary to ensure the integrity of roadside safety barriers that have been damaged.
“We’ve scheduled these works overnight in order to minimise any disruption, however motorists planning to use these routes should allow a few extra minutes for their journey.”
