BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage works on the M8 between Junction 5 and 4A Eastbound for ten nights.
The works, which will repair and improve existing drainage in the area, will commence on Monday 24 February to the morning of Saturday 8 March.
For the safety of workers and road users, lane closures will be in place between 20:30 and 06:30 each night between Junction 5 and 4A eastbound.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s Southeast Network Manager, said: “The drainage repairs will improve the performance of the existing pipework and reduce the risk of flooding within the area.
“We’ll do all we can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible and thank the public in advance for their patience and understanding.”
All traffic management will be removed outside of working hours, with access for emergency vehicles being maintained at all times. Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and other relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the plans.
