An overnight carriageway closure will be in place on the southbound A1 near Haddington on the night of Monday 10 October, to allow Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland to carry out routine maintenance on the trunk road.
For the safety of workers and road users, the southbound carriageway of the A1 will be closed between Abbotsview Junction and Thistly Cross Roundabout from 20:00 until 06:00, with a diversion signposted via the A199, adding an estimated 5 minutes to affected journeys.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “A carriageway closure is essential for the safety of our workforce, however we’ve scheduled the works sovernight to minimise disruption, and the diversion is a short one.
“We’re grateful to road users and local communities for their understanding.”
