BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland will be carrying out overnight road marking improvements and installation of traffic loops on the M9 northbound between Junction 9 and Junction 11 over the night of Friday 20 October 2023.
The works will see the renewal of all road markings and studs to improve the visibility of lane delineations and the installation of traffic loops will ensure traffic data is accurately recorded on this section of the M9.
For the safety of workers and road users, the M9 northbound will be closed for one night. Works will take place between the hours of 7.30pm and 6.00am on Friday 20 October 2023.
A diversion route will be signposted, directing traffic from the M9 Junction 9 Bannockburn, via the A91, A907 and A9 before returning onto the M9 Junction 11, Kier Roundabout. This diversion will add 1.8 miles and an estimated 12 minutes to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “We’ve planned for these works to take place overnight to minimise the overall impact on road users and local communities.
“It is necessary to close the roads to ensure the safety of the workforce and road users alike. We thank road users for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.”
