The slip road exiting the southbound A1 at Bankton Junction near Tranent will be closed between 20:00 and 06:00 on the nights of Sunday 12 and Sunday 19 January.
This is to allow Allelys Heavy Haulage to transport super grid transformers for a new onshore substation development in Cockenzie on behalf of Siemens.
Traffic wishing to exit the A1 southbound at Bankton Junction will be directed to continue onwards to turn at Gladsmuir Junction, returning northbound to exit via the Bankton Junction northbound off-slip.
