The approach to Seafield Roundabout from Raigmore eastbound on the A96 near Inverness is set to benefit from surfacing improvements next week.
The improvements will address defects in the road surface creating a safer and smoother road surface for motorists.
The improvements will take place overnight on Monday 14 June between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the surfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Strict physical distancing protocols, in line with Scottish Government Covid-19 guidance, will be in force to protect teams and ensure they remain safe at all times.
Commenting on the improvements, Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative, said: “This overnight ptoject for the A96 at Seafield Roundabout will help ensure the A96 remains safe at this location.
“The traffic management is essential to the safety of our teams and road users, however we have taken steps to minimise disruption by carrying out the surfacing operations overnight.
“We thank road users for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
