Project to begin on Sunday 23 October over three weeks

• Overnight road closures in place for safety, 8pm to 5am

On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surfacing improvements at three locations on the A82 between Tarbet and Crianlarich, with works set to begin on Sunday 23 October.

The works will see a total of 2km of the A82 resurfaced, with improvements being implemented north of Inverarnan, south of Ardvolich and north of Pulpit Rock. These improvements will create a smoother, more durable and safer road for motorists.

The improvements will take place over three weeks, with no works planned for Friday or Saturday nights. Works are scheduled between 8pm and 5am each night, with all works expected to be complete by 5am Friday 10 November, subject to weather conditions.

Works at each location are programmed as follows:

• A82 north of Inverarnan – Sunday 23 September – Tuesday 25 October (three nights)

• A82 south of Ardvolich – Wednesday 26 October – Wednesday 2 November (six nights)

• A82 north of Pulpit Rock– Thursday 3 November – Thursday 10 November (six nights)

Due to narrow carriageway widths along this section of the A82, the A82 will be closed in both directions between Tarbet and Crianlarich each night, in order to protect the workforce and members of the public. A signed diversion route will be in place via the A82, A85, A819 & A83, adding an additional 27 miles (approximately 52 minutes) to the journey time for road users travelling between Tarbet and Crianlarich.

Access for members of public will not be permitted during working hours.

Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
