Please be advised that additional traffic management is required to complete the surfacing improvements planned for the A9 north of Portgower.
Given the nature of the works being undertaken, a lane closure with use of temporary traffic lights will be required during the day on Wednesday 20 July. Thereafter, overnight works will be undertaken as previously planned between 7pm and 7am, with works completion expected on the morning of Friday 22 July.
On Thursday 21 July traffic management will be removed outwith working hours; however, a 30mph speed restriction will remain in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
All relevant stakeholders have been informed of the changes.

Essential surfacing improvements on the A9 to the north of Portgower are set to get underway on Tuesday 19 July.
The project will see 360 metres of road resurfaced, creating a smoother and safer road for motorists.
The improvements are scheduled to take place over three nights, with works scheduled to take place between 7pm and 7am each night. All works are anticipated to be complete by 7am Friday 22 July, subject to weather conditions.

Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours; however, a 30mph speed restriction will remain in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
