Overnight roadworks are planned at the Newbridge Roundabout over the M9, to allow Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland to replace joints in the bridges that span the motorway.
In a change to previously advertised dates, work will now take place from 20:00 until 06:00 on Monday to Friday nights only, beginning on the evening of Monday 18 October and concluding on the morning of Saturday 30 October.
Two of the three lanes on the roundabout over the M9 at Newbridge will be closed. All slip roads and exits from the roundabout will remain open and the remaining lane will be left open to allow traffic to continue using the roundabout.
Chris Tracey, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These lane closures are essential to allow us to replace worn out joints in the bridges that form the Newbridge Roundabout over the M9.
“We’ve scheduled the works overnight to minimise any disruption, however if you do need to use this route on these nights, our advice is to plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.”
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
