BEAR Scotland the North West trunk road operating company, working on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to start essential resurfacing improvements and drainage works on the A82 between Tarbet and Stoneymollan Roundabout.
Drainage works in two locations
Filter drain recycling works will take place on the A82 between Luss Junction and Culag Plantation. Works will take place each night from 7.30pm on Monday 24 February until 6am on Saturday 8 March. Work will be undertaken under temporary traffic lights in order to keep traffic flowing while protecting the workforce and road users.
Drainage investigation works will take place on the A82 between Stoneymollan Roundabout and Arden Roundabout between 7.30pm on Monday 17 March until 6am on Saturday 29 March. To keep the workforce and road users safe during the investigations, temporary traffic lights will be be in place each night.
Resurfacing works in five locations
Resurfacing improvements will be carried out in various locations on the A82 between Tarbet and Stoneymollan Roundabout. All resurfacing works will take place between 7pm and 6am under temporary traffic lights and a convoy system to ensure the safety of road workers and road users. Outwith working hours there will be a 30mph speed restriction in place due to traffic travelling over a temporary road surface.
Road markings will be carried out after completion of the surfacing works at the same locations. All road marking works will take place between 7pm and 6am under temporary traffic lights and a convoy system to ensure the safety of road workers and road users.
The traffic management will be lifted during outwith working hours across all works.
Access through the work sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
