BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, is planning to resurface two sections of the M90 Junction 2A off-slip over two nights, commencing Thursday 13 January. A total of 0.6 kilometres of carriageway will be resurfaced.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers as well as the travelling public, the M90 Junction 2A off-slip will be closed from 20:00 until 06:00 on the nights of 13 and 14 January. During these closures, a signed diversion route will be in place via M90 Junction 3 Halbeath. This diversion will add approximately two minutes onto affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These surfacing improvements will improve ride quality and safety for motorists using this section of the M90.
“It is essential for safety that we close the slip road during these works, however we’ve planned them to take place overnight to minimise any disruption.”
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
