On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out surface improvements on the A83 to the west of Butterbridge, with works set to get underway from Wednesday 11 September.
The resurfacing project, which is between Rest and be Thankful and Cairndow, will take place over two days between 7am and 7pm each day. Works will be completed by 7pm on Thursday 12 September, subject to weather conditions.
To ensure the safety of road users and the workforce, a 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours. All traffic management arrangements will be removed outwith working hours.
The road will be open from 7pm each day with a speed restriction of 30mph in place as traffic will be running over a temporary road surface. Access through the work site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This resurfacing project on the A83 will help address defects and greatly improve the surface for road users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these projects.
“We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
