A section of the northbound M80 is to benefit from a £435,000 Transport Scotland investment in resurfacing improvements, with operating company BEAR Scotland planning to renew approximately 1.3 kilometres of the trunk road.
For the safety of workers and road users, the northbound carriageway of the M80 after Junction 9 Pirnhall will be closed from 19:30 until 06:00 for five nights, commencing Monday 23 May.
During these closures, a diversion route for northbound traffic will be signposted from the M80 Junction 9 off-slip to Bannockburn Interchange and then immediately back onto the northbound M9, adding an estimated 2 minutes and 0.4 miles to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Consultations have taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using SEPA approved methods.

“Carriageway closures are essential to ensure the safety of workers and road users, however we’ve planned the works to take place overnight to minimise disruption.
