• Overnight carriageway closures between 14 and 16 April

BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, is set to resurface a section of the southbound M9 carriageway between Junction 11 and 10. The resurfacing improvements will address existing defects within the carriageway, ensuring the continued integrity and safety of the motorway.

To allow the works to be carried out safely, the southbound carriageway of the M9 will be closed from Junction 11 to Junction 10 from 19:30 until 06:00 from Monday 14 April for three nights.

During this period of closure, a signed diversion route will be in place for the southbound traffic wishing to travel on the M9. The diversion route will exit Keir Roundabout towards A9 Bridge of Allan, stay on the A9 until the Airthrey Roundabout. At the roundabout take the second exit, follow the road until the Causewayhead Roundabout then take the second exit onto Alloa road. Stay on Alloa road until the Manor Powis Roundabout and take the third exit onto the A91. Follow the A91 until the Bannockburn Interchange and rejoin M9 via the first exit. This diversion will add approximately 17 Minutes and 8.8 Miles onto journeys.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times and all traffic management will be removed out with working hours.

Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.

All works are weather dependent and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
