BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, is set to undertake road surface improvements worth £44,000 on the A82, north of Tyndrum. Taking place on Monday 6 November 2023, the project will enhance road safety, as well as providing a better driving experience.
To facilitate these improvements and ensure the safety of all road users, the A82 will be closed in both directions at the work site between 7pm on Monday 6 November and 7am on Tuesday 7 November. Traffic will be diverted along an alternate route via the A82, A85 and the A828.
Emergency services will be able to travel through the work site at all times.
BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, Ian Stewart, said, “This resurfacing work on the A82 will address road defects and enhance driving conditions. The road closure is necessary for the safety of both road workers and motorists, but we aim to keep disruption to a minimum by conducting the work overnight.
“We are grateful to the local community and road users for their patience. Please check the Traffic Scotland website for the latest travel updates before embarking on your journey.”
