BEAR Scotland, working on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to undertake road surface improvements on the A83 between Ardgenavan and Drishaig, five miles east of Inveraray.

To facilitate these improvements and ensure the safety of all road users, the A83 will be closed in both directions at the work site each night between 8pm and 5am.

During road closures, traffic will be diverted along an alternative route via the A82, A85 and the A819.

Timed access will also be provided at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 1am and 3am to allow road users to pass through the site safely. Motorists are encouraged to arrive prior to these times to ensure they are accommodated within the amnesty periods.

There will be no works on Friday or Saturday nights. The road will reopen outwith working hours however, due to the temporary road surface, speed restrictions will be in place.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of

the works.
