BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out road safety improvements on the A9 at Crubenmore, near Etteridge from Tuesday 22 April. These improvements involve replacing safety barriers in the northbound and southbound verge.
Works will be carried out between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, and are expected to be completed by Friday 30 May.
To protect road users and workers, single lane closures will be in place for the duration of works.
BEAR Scotland has been working with all relevant stakeholders to inform them of the project and share information about the traffic management arrangements that will be in place.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said, “These new safety barriers will help to protect drivers and improve safety at this section of the A9.
“Our teams are committed to completing this essential maintenance works as quickly and safely as possible. We thank all road users and the local community for their patience.
“Please plan your journey in advance, especially if you are travelling between Dalwhinnie and Kingussie.”
