Road safety improvements are planned for the A9 north of Dunkeld, just south of the Jubilee Bridge. The improvements involve replacing safety barriers and will take place overnight from Sunday 14 July to Thursday 25 July, from 7pm until 6am each night. All works will be completed by 6am on Friday 26 July.
To enable these improvements and protect road users and workers, the A9 will be subject to a single lane closure with temporary traffic lights at the work site between 7pm and 6am.
BEAR Scotland has been working with all relevant stakeholders to inform them of the project and share information about the traffic management arrangements that will be in place.
Please plan your journey in advance, especially if you are travelling between Dunkeld and Pitlochry.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said, “We understand that road works can be frustrating for road users, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by these essential safety improvements. These new safety barriers will help to protect drivers and ensure the continued safe operation of the A9. We’ve scheduled the work overnight to minimise disruption, and we’ll be working hard to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible. Please plan your journey in advance, especially if you are travelling between Dunkeld and Pitlochry.”
