The Met office has issued two weather warnings which will affect the South East Trunk Road Unit.
Based on the weather forecast is a potential disruption to travel which may lead to roads being closed due to fallen trees and flooding in certain areas of the network, these will be monitored, and resources are in place in case of such a thing happening.
Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph are forecast which may lead to difficult driving conditions for high sided vehicles and wind susceptible vehicles such as motorcycles, caravans and trailers.
Tommy Deans, South East Network Manager says “We will be monitoring conditions and will have resources to deal with incidents such as fallen trees and any flooding that may occur.
